An argument with Miss Elizabeth convinces Darcy to end his courtship and that it is time for him to return to his Pemberley estate where his sister misses him terribly.

When he arrives, however, Georgiana wants to know all the details about the woman he described in his letters and does not believe his claims that she no longer holds any attraction for him.

She persists in drawing the particulars of what he insists was a brief infatuation and the disagreement that parted them and, in the process, forcing him to acknowledge the love he still holds for Miss Elizabeth.

With her encouragement, he decides returning to Longbourn and rebuilding his tattered romance is worth the effort. He sets off for Netherfield accompanied by Georgiana, who refuses to let him go alone, insisting that without her, his mission is doomed to failure.

They arrive to a find a house in chaos, as Miss Lydia has taken it upon herself to run off with his nemesis, George Wickham. In desperation Mr. Bennet has gone after them hoping to find the wayward couple and avert a scandal.

Mr. Darcy, feeling responsible for the calamity, goes in pursuit. Will he be able to retrieve the runaway girl and see that justice is served on Wickham for his previous ill treatment of Georgiana?

The thrilling pursuit and surprising conclusion of this series awaits in the pages of Mr. Darcy Confronts Lydia, the concluding book of the Elizabeth Said, Darcy Said series by author Colin Rowland.

"I really enjoyed this story, especially the altercations between Darcy and Elizabeth, Darcy and Wickham, and Darcy and Lydia. Darcy didn't seem to be happy unless he was having words with someone and strong ones at that! Wickham seemed to have a penchant for insulting women and calling them ugly. I couldn't believe Lydia still wanted to marry him after the things that he said about her while she was in the room. She slapped Darcy, but Bennet said he should have spanked her. What a spoiled brat! Georgiana also stood her ground and wouldn't let Caroline destroy her friendship with Elizabeth, or keep Darcy from Elizabeth. Good work!" - Joan Brand
